Staging (rolling) — 0.1.3
Pre-release
Pre-release
Aikami v0.1.3 makes Emberwatch more personal and responsive, with richer character moments, clearer combat outcomes, and a sturdier foundation for local AI.
Highlights
- A world that remembers: NPC conversations now leave concise diary recaps, and private world-generation drafts survive interruptions so you can return to unfinished ideas.
- More expressive play: dialogue attacks flow through authored encounters, while the Emberwatch cast, exploration HUD, inventory, and audio have received a broad polish pass.
- Voice and local inference: Kokoro voice setup and model caching are more dependable, with improved compatibility for cached WebGPU inference.
- More reliable sessions: lifecycle safeguards, offline reloads, and AI request scheduling reduce stale work and make interactive requests more predictable.
- A measured AI foundation: native llama.cpp decision backends and evaluation tools are available for experimentation. Live NPC action selection remains opt-in work while it is evaluated against gameplay requirements.
Thanks to everyone following Aikami’s development. Your feedback helps shape the next chapter of Emberwatch.
