Tweak4Windows 1.0.0 brings Windows settings, system information, and maintenance tools into one portable desktop app.

  • Review live CPU and memory activity, security status, and a locally calculated system index.
  • Inspect hardware and Windows information, with device identifiers hidden by default.
  • Adjust 41 Windows settings with tracked-state rollback.
  • Preview temporary files and caches before cleanup, manage supported startup entries, and launch registered uninstallers.
  • Review leftover folders for quarantine and restore them through Tools.
  • Use dark or light themes, search, keyboard navigation, and the tray menu.

Download: Choose Tweak4Windows-1.0.0-portable.zip, extract the entire folder, and open Tweak4Windows.exe. The automatically generated source archives are intended for building from source.

Requirements: Windows 10 build 19041 or newer, or Windows 11; Windows PowerShell 5.1 and .NET Framework 4.8. Individual features depend on Windows version and privileges.

Verification: Compare the ZIP's SHA-256 with SHA256SUMS.txt attached to this release. After extraction, run the included Verify-Package.ps1 to check the listed package files. The package includes the README, user guide, contribution, privacy, security, and portable-build documentation.

Security: The default launcher is unsigned. Antivirus or SmartScreen warnings may occur and should be investigated; keep protection enabled. Open source and matching checksums do not guarantee safety. Cleanup and uninstall actions can be permanent, while tracked tweaks have rollback and quarantined files have a restore path.

Validated for this release on Windows 11: 63 engine checks, 29 interface checks, portable compilation, and package checksum verification. This does not establish compatibility with every Windows build or antivirus product.
