Spender 0.2.0

Download Spender.dmg, open it and drag Spender to Applications. Signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Requires macOS 14 or later.

New in 0.2.0

• Automatic updates. Spender now checks for new versions once a day and offers them in the panel, without interrupting you. Turn it off in Settings, or use Options → Check for Updates… at any time. This is the last version you need to download by hand.
• Try it with sample data. "Try with sample data" on the welcome screen shows the whole app over made-up figures, clearly marked, before you connect any key. Exit returns to your own data.
• About now links to the website, the source on GitHub and the author on X.

Upgrading from 0.1.0

Your API keys carry over. The app’s internal identifier changed, so the provider order and any balance you entered by hand for OpenAI or Anthropic may be reset once; if so, set them again from the panel.

Download Spender.dmg, open it and drag Spender to Applications. It is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without warnings. Requires macOS 14 or later.

What it does

• Reads spend straight from each provider's own billing API: OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, xAI Grok and OpenRouter.
• Today, Yesterday and 30 Days, with a daily chart split by provider.
• Official and estimated figures are labelled apart; a metric a provider does not report stays blank instead of showing $0.
• Keys stay in the macOS Keychain. No account, no server.
