Usagebar v1.11.2
Cursor and Grok are back as one card
- Cursor 3.28 encrypts its sign-in on disk, which hid Cursor. Usagebar now reads the Cursor Agent CLI's sign-in instead, so the Cursor card with the xAI, Grok, Cursor and Grok Bot marks returns, and bringing Grok Bot to the front selects it again.
- Grok on unified billing with Cursor no longer shows a second XAI card with the same usage; the Cursor card stands for both.
- The menu bar shows the Claude spark and the Codex logo, the same marks as the panel.

A new usage panel

- Click a provider's card to show it in the menu bar. The refresh button and "Updated" time sit at the top.
- Display, Show Icon, Launch at Login, sign-out, and update settings are under the panel's ⋯ button. When an update is available, the panel's footer offers it.

Brand marks in the menu
- The menu's provider headers now show each provider's mark: the Claude spark next to "Claude", the Codex logo, Cursor's four plan marks (xAI, Grok, Cursor and Grok Bot), and ZCode's Z mark with "Code".
- Headers are drawn at full contrast. Before, they were dimmed like unavailable menu items.

New Cursor plan marks in the menu bar
- The Cursor item in the menu bar now shows the marks of everything its plan covers, xAI, Grok, Cursor and Grok Bot, in a small centered row above the percentage. They replace the cube and the "Cursor" name.
- The marks are drawn as vectors, so they stay sharp on every display, and follow light and dark menu bars.

M.

Grok Bot counts as Cursor
- Show Cursor usage while Grok Bot is in front. Grok Bot is Cursor's agent app and draws on the same subscription; before, its name made it select XAI.
- When Grok Bot is signed in to the same Cursor account, the menu calls the section Cursor & Grok Bot. Usagebar compares hashed account identifiers only and never reads Grok Bot's tokens.

Usagebar v1.10.1
No keychain password prompt for z.ai
- Read the z.ai Keychain key through macOS's own
securitytool instead of in the app. Updating Usagebar no longer brings up a password dialog for that key. - A keychain dialog that is left unanswered no longer holds up the other providers. Before, the menu bar showed Setup until it was answered.
- Read the key once per launch instead of every five minutes.
If your z.ai key was added to the Keychain some other way than with security, macOS may ask once on behalf of security. Choose Always Allow and it will not ask again, including after updates.
