WebSSH 2.4.0
WebSSH 2.4.0 improves multi-session workspace navigation, terminal customization and recovery, and makes container releases safer and more predictable.
Highlights
- Keep the Files panel and the active terminal directory synchronized in both directions, with a clear per-workspace control and a default preference in settings.
- Make directory synchronization session-aware across multiple terminals and panes while avoiding command injection into unfinished or restored terminal input.
- Unify the desktop and mobile workspace UI, add scrollable session tabs, and improve access to Files, Commands and Diagnostics.
- Add terminal appearance controls and preserve workspace tools, panes and terminal state more reliably across reloads and reconnects.
- Improve hidden-pane rendering and output backpressure so large or restored sessions remain responsive without unnecessary ACK deadline evictions.
- Harden SFTP and SMB file navigation, previews, transfers and recovery behavior.
Security and maintenance
- Bound key, SMB and remote-file work; strengthen metadata escaping, SSH input handling and restored-session safety.
- Build and scan immutable native AMD64 and ARM64 container candidates before promoting the complete multi-architecture image.
- Preserve SBOM and provenance attestations during image promotion and retain deployment compatibility with optional container hardening.
- Reduce CI duplication, shard browser tests, add change-aware gates and document the maintained test matrix.
- Refresh Python, JavaScript and container dependencies.
Container
Available as ghcr.io/bifrost0x/webssh:2.4.0 for Linux AMD64 and ARM64, with SBOM and provenance attestations.
