Stringer v1.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Oct 07:52

Fixed

  • Printing: sheets are cut only between blocks, so a photo is never split and a rubric's head never ends a sheet. Every sheet is a whole page with margins and a thin rule, and the page prints a little narrower when that saves a sheet.

Added

  • One frame without dots: on a filed frame, "In the issue: screened / no dots" prints that photo as shot, whatever the press setting does with the rest.

Fixed

  • The date under the masthead no longer wraps raggedly against the paper's motto: side by side when they fit, two centred lines when not.
  • An article's screen is titled "Article", and an issue of text only gets its own thumbnail in the bound volume.

Added

  • Print the issue: a printer button on the issue page sends it to the phone's print service (or "Save as PDF"), cut into A4 sheets between frames, never across one. On Sunday the desk reminds you the issue is out.
  • Photos in the paper, in settings: newsprint (black dots, as before), colour (a four-colour screen) or as shot, with no screen at all.
  • Write an article: your own headline and text, with a photo or without. Articles run across the page in their own section, and one can go on the front page.

The first issue.

  • An editor's telegram before every walk: one ordinary thing to shoot, with a twist, on a telegraph form, with an «or» fallback and one swap.
  • 1271 assignments in ten rubrics, in English and Russian, chosen by season, the weather you report and the evening light: three years of daily walks without a repeat.
  • Frames shot with the phone's own camera, printed as a newspaper halftone, with the original one tap away; a one-line caption and the editor's mark in red pencil.
  • The weekly issue as a newspaper page under your paper's masthead, shared as an image; the bound volume of every issue.
  • A flash at dusk for the evening light.
  • Investigations: the district's alphabet, digits 0–9, twelve doors, ten cats.
  • The press card: ranks, a stamp per issue, frames by rubric.
  • The district weekly or the big-city daily.
  • No account, no internet, no camera permission.
