• A pixel-art Japanese house that lives by the real seasons and hours: the tokonoma with a hundred candles, shelves, the kotatsu, the tansu, a paper lamp, and a garden with a mountain, a stone lantern, a pond and a tree that grows with every candle.
• 39 ready-made hobbies in nine families, plus any hobby of your own. Any thing gets one of 21 silhouettes, a colour and a nature, by its name or by chance.
• A session lights a candle: minutes, what you did (six verbs), a note, an optional timer.
• Things wake in five steps and then grow for years: Keeper, Elder, Sage, Kami. Hobby titles by hours, up to 3000.
• Twelve wonders of the house from the 100th to the 2000th candle, four of them rare spirits.
• Friendship between spirits of hobbies practised on the same day, and their little ones.
• No guilt: long breaks put the spirits to sleep under the kotatsu; paused hobbies wait in the storeroom chest.
