Critical Stability, Latency Radar & Network Tweak Update
This release brings essential safeguards against unexpected Windows reboots, completely revamps the Gaming Server Radar with crash-proof asynchronous pings, ensures 100% reliable 1-Click TCP NoDelay activation on Windows 10/11, and restores the custom taskbar icon.

🛡️ 1. Critical OS Subsystem & Anti-Crash Protection

  • Hardcoded Windows Kernel Blacklist: Added an impenetrable safety filter at both process enumeration and termination. Windows core subsystems and security daemons (csrss, services, lsass, wininit, smss, svchost, fontdrvhost, dwm, explorer, winlogon, MsMpEng, NisSrv, DefenderSessionHelper, MoUsoCoreWorker, etc.) can never be selected or closed.
  • Eliminates Unexpected Reboots: Completely prevents Windows BugCheck / Blue Screens (CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED) previously caused by closing protected OS services on older builds.

🎯 2. Server Ping Radar Overhaul & Crash Fix

  • Crash-Proof Asynchronous Ping Engine: Rewrote the ping engine with bounded timeouts (Task.Wait(900ms)) and isolated socket exception handling. Network hiccups or blocked ICMP packets will no longer hang or crash the app.
  • Reliable European Gaming Datacenter Relays: Updated radar endpoints with responsive, active servers:

    • 🇬🇧 Valve / CS2 EU West (London)
    • 🇸🇪 Valve / CS2 EU North (Stockholm)
    • 🇫🇷 Blizzard / Battle.net EU (Paris)

    • 🇮🇪 AWS Europe West (Ireland)
    • 🌍 Riot Games EU, Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), & Google DNS (8.8.8.8)
  • Fastest Server Logic Fixed: Offline nodes (-1 ms) are now ignored when calculating the fastest server, reporting only valid roundtrip times.
  • Spam Prevention: The "Ping All Servers Now" button temporarily locks while scanning to prevent socket pool exhaustion.

⚡ 3. 1-Click Gaming Tweaks: TCP NoDelay Fix

  • Universal Network Interface Support: Set-TcpNoDelay now targets all network interface GUIDs in the Windows Registry.
  • Works seamlessly on modern Windows 10 and Windows 11 dynamic DHCP and IPv6 setups where static IP strings were previously missing in root keys. The TCP NoDelay badge now immediately turns ACTIVE (green).

🎨 4. Custom Windows Taskbar & App Bar Branding

  • Native Taskbar Icon: Registered an explicit AppUserModelID (GameBooster.Suite.PRO) and dispatched Win32 WM_SETICON on startup. The Windows Taskbar, Alt+Tab switcher, and Title Bar now display the official Game Booster cyber emblem instead of the generic PowerShell terminal icon (>_).
  • High-Contrast Readability: ComboBox items (such as "All Logical Cores" and HUD presets) now render in high-contrast crisp white against dark slate, and context menus feature a dark theme without the white icon gutter.
  • Recompiled Native C# Launcher: GameBooster.exe updated to version 1.2.0.0 with embedded icons and administrator execution manifest.

📦 How to Update / Install

  1. Download GameBooster-v1.2-Release.zip from the Assets below.
  2. Extract the folder anywhere (e.g. C:\Games\GameBooster or your Desktop).
  3. Right-click GameBooster.exe and select Run as administrator (or double-click to launch).
  4. Click "⚡ 1-Click Apply All Gaming Tweaks" and test the "🎯 Ping All Servers Now" radar!
