This file describes one or more unrelated observations of profile measurements. The template has the number of profile observations set to one, but it could be higher. Each observation event can consist of measurements of multiple different quantities at a number of profile locations, but there is no assumption of any relation in space or time to other observation events. In this example there is one observation of a vertical profile of salinity and temperature (along with lat/lon/z/time). The measurements in a single profile are treated (in this case) as being obtained simultaneously.
