This is a draft of BIP describing burn of portion of tx fees in bitcoin.
It could be an improvement for the Bitcoin economy in the long term.

  • Before submitting a BIP, the idea should be discussed on the bitcoin-dev mailing list.
  • Missing motivation section.
  • Missing backwards compatibility section.
  • Missing an actual specification.

This proposal appears to be abandoned as there has been no response to review in over two years. @wu-emma: If you are still working on this, could you please comment here to that effect?

In absence of activity, I recommend this PR for closing after 2024-05-10.

As announced in my prior comment, I’m closing this PR because it does not fulfill the formatting rules and content requirements of a BIP and review comments have been left unaddressed for over two years.
