Translation Assistant 0.7 beta
Translation Assistant 0.7 beta translates your screen, pictures, speech and videos on your own PC, without sending anything online. AIOT is the suite; Translation Assistant is its first app.
Which file do I download?
| You want… | Download |
|---|---|
| The normal setup (most people) | AIOT-Setup.exe: small and quick. It downloads only the languages you pick. |
| A setup for a PC without internet | AIOT-Setup-Offline.exe: larger. It includes English ⇄ Arabic translation, reading text on screen and the video tools. Speech recognition can be downloaded later. |
You only need one of them. The other files listed under Assets (manifest.json, core-translation-assistant.exe, SHA256SUMS.txt) are used by the app's automatic updates. You don't need to download them.
Needs: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB of RAM or more. No administrator rights needed.
What's new
- Better translations. Capital letters and punctuation are kept, and long text is translated one sentence at a time. Text read from the screen is tidied up first: broken words, odd spacing and stray dots.
- Choose speed or quality. Settings → Advanced → Translation quality: Fast, Balanced (the default) or Best.
- Lighter on memory. Language packs use less memory and load faster.
- Keep your language packs where you like. Settings → Advanced → Move models… shows how much space they need, and you can cancel. Nothing is ever moved without asking.
- Starts reliably without administrator rights, even on PCs that still have files from an old version.
- Free space is checked before every download or move, so a full disk no longer stops anything halfway.
- Messages in all 8 languages of the app (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Turkish).
- Optional higher-quality packs for English → Arabic, English → Chinese and Japanese → English.
- Many smaller fixes.
"Windows protected your PC"?
This beta isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show a blue warning. Click More info → Run anyway.
To be extra sure the file is genuine, compare its fingerprint (SHA-256) with the one below. In PowerShell, run Get-FileHash .\AIOT-Setup.exe. The values are also in SHA256SUMS.txt.
