Settings that helped
going into the game’s Manage menu, selecting Change Program, opening dgVoodooCpl.exe, going to the DirectX tab, enabling Disable and passthrough to real DirectX, clicking Apply then OK, then returning to Manage, choosing Change Program again, selecting IGI.exe, clicking OK, and launching the game successfully
Notes
Performance was around 15 FPS in the main menu, fluctuating between 15 and 30 FPS during gameplay without Frame Generation, and reaching around 60 FPS with some drops to 47 to 50 when Frame Generation was enabled.
The game is very old, which may be one reason for the low performance. It’s probably not the fault of PC5 itself, but rather compatibility limitations with the game and the software. Hopefully future PC5 updates will bring compatibility fixes that let the game run smoothly with excellent performance.
