Bramble The Mountain King (PPSA09426)
Content version tested

sce_sys/param.json.AnyPS5 commit
Primary report: clean main
474030e58424fefdb65e5df9f3820810fbb4553c, frozen SDK built from that commit. The earlier screening run used production-equivalent main73f with a test-only fixture; that is separate from this controlled pair.A paired menu run uses main474 plus #6959, public head
327addf79eaea87343c5800747ae1ad7215c3d00, merged privately asbbea03fc0e74b6abff4150548a958a43f2db7a4b. No other production PR or game-byte patch. Newer upstream0f302813cebfcontains disjoint LibreSSL and relinker-test changes; these results remain pinned to474.System tested
Linux 7.2.11-arch1-1, GCC 16.2.1, Ninja Release; AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (16 cores/32 threads), AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT (RADV NAVI23), Mesa 26.2.6-arch1.1. Desktop renderer window974×548 on X11; both traces report3840×2160 presentation metadata. That field does not prove every internal render target uses4K.
Furthest point
Menu on main474. Initial bedroom with controller movement on main474 + #6959. Later gameplay has not been tested.
What is shown
Main reaches the initial language and gamma screens and then the main menu. Text/input work; English and default gamma0 were selected. The 3D forest background is almost black.
A controlled pair used the same inactive settings-save seed (hash matched), identical relinked executable, independent writable runtimes, disabled caches and hash-verified frozen SDKs. No game inputs in either menu arm. With #6959, the forest, haze and lighting become visible while the UI remains readable. No PS5 reference-image or audio validation was done.
The change has a substantial measured cost on this system:
Both native runs exited0 after ordinary planned closes (~172.8/172.9 s). One pair, main first; this is no broad stability or speedup claim. Detailed trace event tracks overflowed (recorded in both summaries), so incomplete detailed events must not be used as complete CPU profiles.
Initial bedroom follow-up (2026-10-31)
The same frozen main474 + #6959 bank (
bbea03fc0e74) now has an interactive run: select New Game from the reviewed menu, watch the opening sequence with readable subtitles, then walk the boy from the bedside toward the window with the left stick. Paired original window captures and the submitted input pulses are retained. This run includes no other production PR or game-byte patch. The native run exited0 at its ordinary planned close (413.1s elapsed). All9 original executable/module/param hashes still match, the temporary udmabuf limit was restored to64, and no private native process remains. The desktop counter was around15–17 FPS during the bedroom observations; this evolving scene is not a controlled performance comparison.
Leaving the bedroom, later gameplay, audio correctness, save reload and fidelity against a PS5 recording remain unverified. The post-run save is retained locally, outside the public artifact.

#6959 restores visible background illumination in the paired menu observation. A follow-up on the same main474 + #6959 SDK reaches the initial bedroom and responds to movement input. Performance and later gameplay remain unresolved. The PR has current-main focused Radeon/Vulkan-validation qualification: main6/common tests pass and the candidate adds2 passing feature cases, with zero skips/VUIDs.

No private native PIDs remain, and all recorded original executable/module/param hashes match. The window helper preserves the user's24-inch monitor placement without focusing it. The first-run settings selection is recorded separately from the no-input controlled pair.
