v2.0.4

Brainwrite 2.0.4 for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel). Windows is coming soon.

New

  • Simple mode: new installs start with the everyday controls. Turn on Advanced mode in Settings → General to see every technical control, such as usage and tokens and the Inspector. An updated app keeps Advanced mode, so nothing you already use disappears. Nothing is deleted either way.
  • Live calls: in a call, choose Live to talk naturally and interrupt any time while the bot still does the work. Live calls use OpenAI GPT-Live with your own OpenAI API key (OpenAI bills about $0.05 per minute).
  • Pinned threads from every bot, together in one section of the sidebar.
  • Refresh permissions on a thread applies the bot's current approval level and saved approvals to that thread.
  • A new skin, Meadow.
  • Routine runs show their date and time in the thread title.

Changed

  • The built-in browser is on by default. Each bot keeps its own browser switch.
  • In People, the Member role is now called User.
  • The Brainwrite Cloud card notes that customers in India pay 18% GST on top of $99 a month.

Fixed

  • On a Mac whose home folder has a long path, the built-in browser could not start and every bot's turn failed with "Could not safely prepare saved browser logins".
  • The Browser panel's full-screen button now leads back out of full screen.
