Cotton Cloud 0.5.20
Folder sizes, encrypted previews and more reliable sign-in.
Files and folders
- Add a toolbar action to calculate the sizes of all folders in the current directory. Results are cached in memory, and calculation stops when you leave the directory.
- Show dates and sizes consistently on file and folder cards, and increase tile-listing pages to 10,000 items.
- Receive files shared from other apps through the installed PWA on supported browsers and platforms.
- Support previews of encrypted images and other supported file formats after unlocking the encryption key in the browser.
- Encrypt new folder names on the client and display decrypted names consistently in folder listings, breadcrumbs, pinned folders, search results and the trash. Existing folder names remain readable without a bulk conversion.
- Fix name-conflict handling for encrypted files and folders, preserve encryption when replacing uploads, and use updated metadata when decrypting moved files.
- Allow more time for recursive copies of large folders.
Authentication and reliability
- Fix OIDC sign-in failures caused by legacy encrypted provider secrets by recovering them during startup after integrity verification.
- Fix SDK token-refresh cancellation and concurrent sign-in/sign-out handling so an interrupted request does not discard a successfully rotated token pair or restore a signed-out session.
- Report Cotton Bridge availability failures separately from authorization failures.
- Fix account deletion when file embeddings are present, and improve cleanup of orphaned storage records and missing avatars.
- Update .NET and frontend dependencies, including security fixes.
Interface
- Keep storage usage, file count, folder count and available space in a compact row on narrow dashboard cards.
- Fix mobile notification width and improve long filename display and conflict-dialog actions.
Synchronization
- Reduce sync-change history retention from one year to 30 days. Clients whose sync cursor has expired must perform a full resync; stored files are not removed by this retention policy.
