GLim 0.9.0 beta 3
The first public beta of GLim: play GLSL shaders live and turn them into FFGL plugins for Resolume and ISF files for MadMapper.
Downloads
| Windows | GLim-0.9.0-beta.3-windows.zip: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 |
| macOS | GLim-0.9.0-beta.3-macos.zip: Apple Silicon, macOS 14 Sonoma or later |
Each zip has the app, the user manual (USER_MANUAL.html), 18 public-domain shaders to start with, and TouchOSC layouts for remote control. There's no installer: unzip it and run GLim. You need a graphics card with OpenGL 4.1; building FFGL plugins also needs Microsoft's free Build Tools for Visual Studio (Windows) or the Xcode Command Line Tools and CMake (macOS).
The apps aren't code-signed yet. The first time you open GLim, Windows shows Windows protected your PC (click More info, then Run anyway), and macOS asks you to allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security. The manual has the details.
What it does
- Plays shaders live: ISF, Shadertoy and GLSL Sandbox shaders, with a slider, switch or menu for every parameter, playlists and a looping slideshow.
- Outputs: fullscreen or an output window on any monitor, Spout (Windows), Syphon (macOS) and NDI®.
- Remote control over OSC, with TouchOSC layouts for phone and tablet.
- Builds FFGL 2 plugins for Resolume 7.21.3+ (
.dllon Windows, universal.bundleon macOS) and exports ISF 2 files for MadMapper, VDMX, Millumin and other ISF hosts.
