Longterm support of TaskNotes Obsidian plugin #2341

Hi @jpbruckler, thanks for the question! I intend to continue to maintain the TaskNotes plugin, while working on other projects. I don't have large plans left for the TaskNotes plugin--i think adding more features would likely only degrade the product, and so my priorities going forward will be polish and bug fixes. Fortunately, the TaskNotes community is continuously raising issues and PRs, so finding rough edges is a collective effort! I'm working on a few new features for the v5 release, but in all, I hope they simplify the experience of using TaskNotes. The large number of people who use the TaskNotes plugin is very motivating, so I would like to continue to maintain it as a dependable task management system. I'm sure there will be times when I'm able to devote less effort to it then others, but I feel quite committed to the project! |

The TaskNotes plugin is awesome, frankly. I've enjoyed watching it mature, and it has contributed greatly to my own productivity and peace of mind.
That said, with the web and mobile TaskNotes apps being in beta, I felt it appropriate to ask if there is any thought that the Obsidian plugin would be shelved in favor of development/support of the app itself. I understand that maintaining multiple apps and an Obsidian plugin is a lot of work, please don't see this as a complaint, I just hope to better understand the future of TaskNotes.
