An extension for enhanced presentation of titles in tabs and title bars of Firefox and Firefox-based browsers. FireTitle allows you to label your Firefox browser windows with mnemonic titles containing useful information. Find the Firefox window you're looking for, fast.
Use Ctrl-, (Alt-, on macOS) for faster access to name-changing functionality. Or, move the CFT button from the customize panel to a toolbar.
Currently (0.1.7), the following options can be used as pattern:
- m: Browser's name (useless since it is already forcefully displayed)
- v: Browser's Version
- b: Browser's build ID
- n: User defined Window's Name
- p: User defined Profile's Name
- t: Documents title (useless since it is already forcefully displayed)
- T: Number of tabs
- L: Number of tabs loaded in memory
- [custom text]: Custom text

- is for Firefox for Android 57.0 and later, Firefox 57.0 and later
- is constrained by WebExtensions APIs.
The original FireTitle:
- uses a technology – XUL – that is legacy for add-on purposes
- is stable, but no longer developed
- may be effectively passed through the Extension Converter for SeaMonkey
- does not work with Firefox Quantum.
