There should be a workflow for deploying the site. To that end, there should be a github action which triggers on push to this ("main") branch and preforms the necessary tasks to deploy the site. Then when the dev branch is in a fit state, a PR can be created to merge all the changes from dev, and once it is merged, the site will be redeployed to Production.
