v0.32.0
Pre-release
Pre-release
@cbnventures/nova
UPDATED
- Replaced Turborepo with Nova's native dependency-aware workspace runner across root scripts, generated publish workflows, scaffolds, and tooling normalization, with scoped execution, concurrency controls, dry runs, failure continuation, buffered logs, lifecycle prerequisites, exact package-script argument forwarding, and a configurable verified local cache that safely reruns tasks whenever their inputs or outputs drift.
- Reclassified
novaRulesas an ESLint preset while keeping individual Nova rule implementations in the rules entry point, and isolated private Vitest suite state and toggle helpers under an internal runtime boundary. - Expanded
nova utility configureto edit the complete Nova configuration contract, including recipes, all physical ignore files, workflow filters and settings, GitHub Actions, ordered labels, policies, rulesets, security, workflow environment prefixes, lock-step versioning, and every registered workspace role. - Standardized package scripts into Nova's canonical command families, project-specific groups, and npm lifecycle tail, with nested hooks kept beside their target and shared Vitest coverage for generated repositories.
- Updated
normalize-toolingto repair root orchestration scripts while preserving authored child execution order. - Rejected ambiguous top-level package scripts such as
start, generate, lint, andtest, with recommendations for their intended Nova families. - Moved generated Homebridge production execution from
starttoprod:homebridgeso it runs compiled output. - Simplified the public scaffold catalog by removing standalone Cloudflare Worker, Docker image, and Node.js CLI entries plus the mistakenly exposed Docker generator. Docker remains a scaffold-only packaging option.
FIXED
- Prevented Cloudflare Worker scaffold validation from leaking Wrangler child processes and hanging CI by using Wrangler's managed test harness.
- Reduced TypeScript check time by collecting diagnostics only for project-owned files while retaining dependency resolution, strict project diagnostics, and declaration validation.
- Reused verified workspace builds and one fully validated generated project in scaffold checks, removing redundant installs and builds without reducing scaffold coverage.
- Corrected generated GitHub Action validation by running the local simulator against the exported TypeScript
run()module, removing an unused GitHub API dependency, upgrading the simulator, smoke-testing the isolated NCC bundle withoutnode_modules, and removing obsolete workflow fragments superseded by the programmatic generator. - Accepted Apple application changelog headings that include a parenthesized build number during release-history validation.
- Made
require-jsdoc-returnsreport documented functions that omit@returns, while preserving constructor and setter exemptions and existing type-only validation. - Kept declaration-order validation tied to executable type use instead of JSDoc references, so documentation changes no longer force unrelated declaration reordering.
- Enforced object-property alias ordering across declaration contracts and allowed named recursive array aliases to reference their owning object without permitting inline recursive property types.
- Kept the checked-in Cloudflare Astro
.assetsignorealigned with Nova's canonical renderer, labeled its deployment-control group, and stopped malformed ignore-file configuration before any output is written. - Forwarded
--forcethrough the source-first workspace runner. - Rejected invalid derived Apple bundle identifiers before writing scaffold files.
- Stopped the native workspace runner from scheduling pending tasks after Ctrl+C or termination.
- Closed TypeScript declaration-inspection gaps for arrow-function returns, optional and readonly object properties, and multiple typed declarations on one line while preserving the full Vitest convention suite.
- Kept generated Vitest infrastructure ready for consumer-owned tests without shipping brittle package-name or starter-copy assertions that fail after normal scaffold customization.
- Made Windows checks, scaffold installs, type-declaration validation, and package builds portable by normalizing wildcard quoting and file paths, launching npm and Corepack through Node instead of Windows command shims, and allowing repository-wide declaration checks enough time on slower hosts.
- Stamped unreleased API annotations across every workspace during no-entry release repairs, using
0.0.0for freezable roots and each versioned workspace's current package version.
ADDED
- Added first-class Apple bundle identifiers to the Apple application scaffold, including interactive and non-interactive validation with exact XcodeGen rendering.
- Added a centrally managed, tested version snapshot for scaffold dependencies, generated GitHub workflow action references, and platform toolchains, with offline version resolution plus stable update audits and weekly review pull requests.
- Added centralized physical ignore-file bundles for Git, Docker, and Cloudflare Astro outputs, renamed the Gitignore generator to
nova generate must-haves ignore-files, replaced the proprietary.novaignoremarker with exact internal scaffold discovery exclusions, and removed the formergitignore.projectExcludesconfiguration shape. - Added built REPL and config-aware API-test starters to generated Homebridge plugins, with installed executables and shared Nova CLI presentation.
- Added a provider-neutral
nova scaffold tool serverlessworkspace that composes one shared Node.js CLI with either a Cloudflare Workers or Vercel Functions service layer, including isolated runtime contracts, development, production builds, deployment, management, live logs, and Vitest coverage. - Added the configurable
remove-operating-system-filesrecipe with reviewed macOS and Windows file toggles, dry-run support, Git-tracked-file protection, scaffold defaults, andnova utility configureintegration, plus theremove-os-filesandfix-md-tablesrecipe shorthands.

FIXED
- Aligned published declaration aliases with Nova's property-order and naming contracts, including missing property, return, and runtime aliases, and replaced inline recursive HAST and table-of-contents children with named recursive aliases.
