v0.1.0: first public release

First tagged release of OpenMontage Drama Studio, a self-hostable web studio that turns a one-line idea into a short drama, short-form video or e-commerce product clip.

What's in it

• 7-stage workshop: script → characters → scenes → props → storyboard & shots → voice → edit. Every stage is editable and can be re-run on its own, or the agent can run the whole pipeline.
• Reference-driven shots: character, scene and prop images (Seedream, or ComfyUI on your own GPU) feed Seedance video shots.
• Voice and edit: edge-tts by default (OpenAI-compatible speech as fallback), timeline ordering and episode export.
• What you can make: short-drama templates (爽剧 / 短剧 / 正剧), viral-video playbooks for Douyin, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, Reels, Shorts and Bilibili, and an e-commerce product-video template.
• Platform: viral gallery, creation agent, skill market, infinite canvas, asset library.
• Bring your own keys: OpenAI, DeepSeek, Claude, Gemini, Qwen, Doubao and other OpenAI-compatible LLMs. Seedream and Seedance are paid third-party APIs.

Run it

• Hosted instance: https://openmontage.dtok.io
• Self-host: docker compose -f docker-compose.studio.yml up --build. You need your own S3/MinIO storage and model API keys. See the README Quick start.

• This is an independently maintained product. It started from the AGPL-3.0 calesthio/OpenMontage codebase and has been rebuilt around a short-drama workflow. It is not affiliated with that project, and the original copyright notices are kept as AGPL requires.
