Updated Parsers

  • Registered show lldp neighbors detail on Cisco IOS-XE against the existing Cisco IOS parser, which now also captures auto-negotiation support/state, physical media capabilities, MAU type and VLAN ID. (#1416)
  • Registered interface-scoped show interfaces <interface> and show ip interface <interface> on Cisco IOS-XE, and extended show ip interface to capture multi-line Helper addresses are lists, wrapped Multicast reserved groups joined lists, and the Output features line. (#1432)
  • Registered show bfd session on Cisco IOS-XR against the existing show bfd sessions parser. show interfaces now tolerates indented interface header lines, and show bfd sessions now parses rows whose timer columns are n/a or a bare detect time and whose state spans multiple words. (#1433)
  • The Cisco IOS / IOS-XE show lldp neighbors detail parser now parses the LLDP-MED block into an optional med key: capabilities, device type, inventory, network policies and power requirements. (#1462)

Fixed Parsers

  • Fixed IOS-XR interface name canonicalization to expand the BE, BV, and PE abbreviations. IOS-XR parsers such as show interface brief, show interfaces description, show ospf vrf all interface brief, and show l2vpn xconnect now emit Bundle-Ether, BVI, and PW-Ether interface names instead of BE, BV, and PE. (#1463)

Core Fixes

  • ParseError raised when every parser candidate fails now lists each attempted candidate (source and parser class, in order) along with why it failed, instead of a generic "no parser candidates produced a valid result" message. (#1395)
  • Built-in parsers are now registered once per process and shared read-only by every Muninn runtime instead of being copied into each one, so creating many runtimes (for example one per test job) no longer costs about 0.4 MB and 70 ms each. Concurrent first calls to load_builtin_parsers() are serialized by a lock, and parsers registered on one runtime still never reach another. (#1479)

Internal

  • Bump ty from 0.0.75 to 0.0.82; fix new redundant-condition diagnostics by removing always-true TypedDict checks and returning None instead of casting empty dicts to TypedDicts.
  • Normalise trailing whitespace, final newlines, and JSON indentation in existing parser test fixtures so the repository passes all pre-commit hooks.
  • Run the repository pre-commit hooks (whitespace, end-of-file, JSON formatting, and related checks) in CI.
