Geonect ------- 3D modeling with Kinect. Uses nestk for Cmake build files for OpenNI. Pulling Repository ------------------ git clone <url> git submodule init git submodule update Installation on OS X -------------------- Install OpenCV 2.2: http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/InstallGuide for OpenCV use: mkdir release cd release cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RELEASE -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local -D BUILD_PYTHON_SUPPORT=OFF -D BUILD_EXAMPLES=ON .. make sudo make install Then, in Geonect: ./macosx_configure.sh ./macosx_build.sh cd build/macosx/bin ./Geonect Installation on Ubuntu ---------------------- Note: these instructions are slightly out of date. Install OpenCV 2.2 following http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/InstallGuide%20%3A%20Debian you probably don't need to install all those packages pull sources from sourceforge cd ~/opencv # the directory containing INSTALL, CMakeLists.txt etc. mkdir release cd release cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RELEASE -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local -D BUILD_PYTHON_SUPPORT=OFF -D BUILD_EXAMPLES=ON .. make sudo make install In Geonect: mkdir build cd build mkdir linux cd linux ccmake ../.. # Set up cmake to use OpenNI and Libfreenect and external OpenCV. make ./bin/Geonect Credits ------- A class project for: University of Colorado at Boulder Spring 2011 CSCI 7000 - Things That Think Project Members: Charles Dietrich Ben Link Michelle Bourgeois
