I managed to download some .mov files from: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://physicsstream.ucsd.edu/courses/spring2003/physics130a/* using my amazing Wayback Machine-foo from: https://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/146661/how-to-search-the-internet-archives-wayback-machine-by-url-prefix-or-pattern

I was however unable to open those files on Ubuntu 23.04. web archive gives their mime as "video/quicktime", but ffmpeg did not recognize the files, related:

Interesting to note that this is one of the few courses the kept the tradition of openess at UCSD: https://podcast.ucsd.edu/ most of the rest being paywalled. Makes me happy and sad at the same time. That website only goes down to 2007 currently however: https://podcast.ucsd.edu/?E=NoPodcastFound#pastcourses

I think the payload of those files were streaming instructions: when you run the file, you're attaching to a server and then streaming the actual content from there. So the original files were being streamed. I suspect we'd need someone at UCSD to make the actual files available. I tried emailing Jim Branson but he never replied. Do you know anyone in the physics department at UCSD ?

It looks like Jim Branson taught PHYS 130A in 2015:
