CodeShell 0.9.15 bundles a verified private Node.js runtime with the desktop app.

Changes

  • Include Node.js 24.21.0 in macOS arm64/x64, Windows x64, and Linux x64 installers, with pinned official archive checksums and full license notices.
  • Add read-only runtime discovery for trusted Desktop hosts. Existing consumers keep their current runtime selection and process approvals.
  • Verify runtime integrity after packaging and macOS signing; run the native packaged Node with an empty PATH on each release platform before uploading installers.

Updating

Use the normal update/install flow and fully restart CodeShell after ongoing tasks finish. Replacing an application bundle while it is running can leave the old process reading the new archive at stale offsets and display JavaScript instead of a page.

Git continues to use the system installation; this release does not bundle a Git executable.
