Release Notes

• Playwright (undetected via Patchright) browser automation instead of Puppeteer. This should help with random 401 errors
• Alpine images removed, only Debian image is provided at :latest tag
• amd64 images now use Chrome instead of Chromium to avoid detection
• arm64 images now use Chrome for Testing instead of Chromium. Not be best for avoiding detection, but it's what Playwright supports on ARM64. Still likely an improvement over v5.
• armv7 images are no longer provided, sorry. Playwright doesn't support it, and Alpine dropped Chromium builds in 3.24 anyway.
• Image is 600MB smaller than v5.
• Cookies are managed by stored browser profiles.
• Config migrated from class-validator to Zod. This changed a lot, so please report bugs if your unique config has issues.
• Authentication management is now mostly managed by cookies after first device auth. Device auth login will only be requested when necessary to continue.
• Tooling updates:
  • Node 26 (it'll be LTS soon)
  • Runtime is TypeScript native via Node

Breaking changes/migration

• runOnStartup defaults to true instead of false to aid with first time setup
• deviceAuthPollRateSeconds minimum increased from 1 to 10 (it got overridden to that anyway)
• armv7 images no longer published, sorry.
• :bullseye-slim tag no longer published. Just use :latest.
• :debian tag is deprectated. Just use :latest .
• These are recommended by Playwright:
  • Add --ipc=host / ipc: host to your container
  • Add --init / init: true to your container
• browserLaunchTimeout default increased from 15s to 30s to help with low power devices
