OSpec 1.9.10 fixes a workspace-scope bug where changes touching files with non-ASCII (for example CJK) names could not be archived. git status/git diff octal-escape and quote non-ASCII paths by default, and the classic and goal scope gates parsed those mangled paths, so a file declared by its exact non-ASCII path in affects was flagged out-of-scope and blocked closeout. All path-reading git calls now run with core.quotePath=false so paths stay raw UTF-8.

Fixed

  • Workspace-scope closeout gates now read non-ASCII (e.g. CJK) git paths correctly. Previously a change whose affects named an exact non-ASCII file path had that file octal-escaped by git and misparsed as out-of-scope, blocking ospec finalize/archive and forcing operators to broaden affects to an ASCII parent directory or archive from a separate clean worktree.
  • The fix forces core.quotePath=false on every git status/diff call that parses paths: the classic closeout scope gate (ClassicChangeCloseoutService), all goal-side git calls (TaskGraphExecutionService.runGit, including the task-dispatch workspace snapshot), the new-change dirty-workspace warning (NewCommand), and staged-file detection during index builds (build-index).
