When I am programming I copy a lot of data. Not all of them need to be sent to my devices.
In that case I would like to disable Clipto by means of a shortkey.

It should be possible now (Settings —> Shortcut Keys —> Notes from Clipboard).

Just discovered Clipto and that function doesn't seem to work anymore. The 'Notes from Clipboard' toggle only seems change whether a note is created when copying something.

When copying something on my PC (Win10 21H1), the content is sent to my phone's clipboard no matter what settings I have enabled or disabled on my PC ('Sync notes automatically'; any 'Clipboard' toggle). The only option currently seems to be to sign out of Sync completely or to exit the app to stop sending my clipboard.

Any chance that could be fixed/ added?

This logic is controlled by two toggles:

  1. “Notes from Clipboard” - is used to let the app create notes from the clipboard. All created notes are stored locally while the second setting is not activated
  2. “Universal Clipboard” - is used to sync notes from clipboard with the cloud and all your devices

Both settings are available in the rune “Clipboard”. It will be divided into two separate features (runes) in the future. But now please check that the setting “Universal Clipboard” is turnd off if you do not want to sync your clipboard with other devices.

I must have done something wrong since it's now working (not syncing) when Universal Copy is turned off.

A shortcut for toggling UC would be very useful though (it's a bit quicker than using the tray or the settings menu).

Thanks for the quick reply and for the explanation!

shortcut will be added. I want to separate the setting “Universal Clipboard” and make it working without (or in combination) the rune “Clipboard”. The shortcut will be added as a part of this planned activity.
