wqvpad 0.1.1 (pre-release)

Photos are now named by date, number and title, for example WQV_20010714_01 PARK.jpg, so they sort in the order they were taken and are easy to recognise.

• Titles are made safe for file names on Windows, macOS and Linux (characters like ? * / : become -).
• The title and date are also stored inside each picture, so they survive renaming.
• No more separate title.txt files.

Still a pre-release, not yet tested on real hardware. If you try it with a WQV watch and a PAD adapter, please open a Hardware test report with a log made by adding --capture log.txt to your command. Logs never contain your photos or photo titles.

wqvpad 0.1.0 (pre-release)

First pre-release. Downloads photos from Casio WQV-1, WQV-2, WQV-3 and WQV-10 wrist cameras on Windows 11, macOS and Linux using Casio PAD-1, PAD-2, PAD-2B and PAD-5 infrared adapters.

Windows: download wqvpad.exe below.
With a PAD-5, the first run offers to set up its required driver. Windows requires admin permissions for any driver installation.

Not yet tested on real hardware. If you have a WQV watch and a PAD adapter, please try it and open a Hardware test report with a log made by adding --capture log.txt to your command. Logs never contain your photos or photo titles.
