Non-English transcriptions now reach Bazarr under the right language, and subtitle files named with caption markers count as coverage again.

Fixed

  • A subtitle subgen wrote in another language was uploaded to Bazarr labelled English (#613). The direct upload always sent en, so a Norwegian transcription saved as <video>.nor.srt appeared in Bazarr as an English subtitle. The language is now read from the file subgen wrote, after the video's own name, so a word in the title is never mistaken for a language. .en.hi.srt is English with a hearing-impaired marker, and a file with no language in its name still goes up as English, as before.
  • subarr could pick an older subtitle beside the video as the job's output and re-time it (#613). When subgen wrote nothing, the file chosen as "the output" could be one that was already there, such as an English subtitle Bazarr had downloaded, and the re-timing step then rewrote it in place. subarr now prefers a subtitle written since the job was queued, and never re-times one that predates the job (with five minutes of allowance for clock differences between your server and NAS).
  • Caption markers in a subtitle's file name were read as its language (#607). Movie.en.sdh.srt, Movie.en.cc.srt and Movie.es.hi.srt were treated as subtitles in a language called sdh, cc or Hindi, so coverage did not count them and queued transcriptions subgen then rejected. They now count as English and Spanish. A tag after the language (Movie.en.default.srt, Movie.zh-Hans.srt, Movie.en.WEBRip.srt) no longer hides it either. Thanks to @patrickthescriptwhisperer for the fix.
  • The Queue page hid Subgen jobs from libraries other than the default (#609). A job was kept only when its path matched the default library's path prefix, so with TV at /tv and movies at /movies, TV jobs disappeared from the page. Jobs from every configured library are shown now, and a prefix no longer matches a longer folder name (/media does not match /media2).
  • Download history did not load for a file in Library and Aftercare (#611). Looking up blacklist history by path did not read the Bazarr ids where subarr stores them, so the history for that episode or movie stayed empty. It now finds them.

Security

  • OS packages refreshed (#620). The 2.7.21 image ships libexpat1 2.8.3-1~deb13u1 and libjxl0.11 0.11.2-0.1~deb13u2, and Debian has since published fixes in its security pocket. This release rebuilds against current packages. Measured against the published ghcr.io/coaxk/subarr:2.7.21 with apt list --upgradable: exactly those two security-pocket packages were pending.
