Current version lists types of software that can be recorded in CRIS as: - Open-source software - Closed source software for which executables can be made available - Software projects which are unable to make any outputs available, but which can be publicly acknowledged - Software projects which can not be publicly disclosed We could achieve more clarity if we can make use of Software Citation Implementation Working Group classification: - Open source/closed source - Published/Unpublished - Version/Concept and describe metadata which authors should specify dependently on the combination of these parameters.
