Consider releasing a new version.

Use Case

nixpkgs, for example, only tracks released versions, so it has an outdated version currently

Proposed Solution

Release a version using github releases.

Alternatives Considered

I'm currently using a nix overlay to override the version in nixpkgs.

Jokes aside, there are several features I would like to have merged and implemented before releasing a new version. I'm not a big fan of merging and releasing things just to boost the numbers.

Expect maybe a week or two before a new minor version is released.

I would argue that every new feature/bugfix should be released, or there should be a regular release cadence otherwise.

Consider people who only use the released versions - they're running a Jun 18th version for arguably no good reason.
