This release improves how the Agent SDK handles model capabilities across providers and environments. It adds shared model rules, broader reasoning effort support, browser-safe access to model rules, and automatic retries when a model rejects unsupported settings. No migration or special upgrade step is required.
Highlights
- Ship shared model rules for SDK consumers
The SDK now exposes shared model rules data through its public surface, making model capability handling more consistent across integrations and environments. - Retry requests after removing unsupported model settings
When a model rejects unsupported parameters, the SDK can adjust the request and retry automatically. This reduces manual fallback handling in client code. - Support broader reasoning effort values and newer reasoning models
The SDK now accepts higher reasoning effort levels and recognizes newer GPT reasoning model IDs, so reasoning-specific request handling applies in more cases. - Expose a browser-safe model rules entry point
Browser bundles can now consume model rules through a dedicated entry point, and learned model fixes remain separated by backend.
