Single github author vcs, multiple packages

Is there a way to add a single vcs repository (github) that can be used for multiple packages?

For example:

In repositories:

{

then in require:

  "authorname/package2": "dev-master",

No it is not. github URLs are totally decoupled from composer package names anyway
