v0.7.0
GPT-6 Astra
gpt-6-astra now appears in the model picker and works.
It gets a larger usable window than the GPT-5.6 models: 872K context, 744K input. The 5.6 family is deliberately capped lower to keep a request under OpenAI's long-context surcharge, which doubles the input price of the whole request past 272K tokens. Astra is exempt from that surcharge in Codex, so there is nothing to protect against and it keeps its full window.
Those numbers are lower than the ones published for the OpenAI API, and that is intentional — the Codex backend this plugin talks to stops accepting a request earlier than the API does. The published figure would let a conversation grow past the point where the backend refuses it, and the turn would fail partway through.
Note that OpenCode 1.18.26 does not offer reasoning-effort selection for Astra. Effort variants there are derived from a hardcoded GPT-5 family list rather than from the model catalogue, and Astra is not in it. Nothing in this plugin can add the selector; a newer OpenCode reads the catalogue directly.
A rejected account no longer needs a spare reset credit to be visible
/openai-reset refused to spend a credit whenever the server reported no applicable credits, even when the account was exhausted and holding a perfectly good credit. One account sat unusable for three days with a credit it could have spent.
Eligibility no longer depends on that field. When the server disagrees, the confirmation says so and you decide — it also warns that the redemption may do nothing, in which case the credit is not spent.
Failed connections now leave a trace
When a streaming connection dropped, nothing was written to the log unless request dumping happened to be switched on, which it is not by default. The failure was visible on screen and invisible everywhere else.
Connection failures are now logged normally. The message also says why a turn was not retried: if the answer had already started, retrying would repeat text, re-run tools, and bill twice, so it stops on purpose. Previously that read the same as a fault.
Thanks to @iceteaSA for the reset-credit reports and the connection-logging investigation, and to @LordMike for the nudge on Astra.
