Version 2025.12.0
Breaking changes:
Note there are some breaking changes here. The arch changes removes support for the i386, armhf and armv7 architectures. This is due to upstream support changes from Home Assistant.
Feature Updates
Also I have added support for TCP based devices. I have been running this in beta for quite a while and it works well. If you have a GPS device support NMEA messages over TCP you can add that under the hidden settings. Due to the way the addons works you have to set a dummy serial device - but just choose one that is free. I have used /dev/ttyS0 - test that first.
Changelog
- Add option to connect to TCP based device for GPS data
- Upgrade to version 3.26.1 of GPSD
- Upstream changes:
- Bump docker/login-action from 3.3.0 to 3.4.0
- Bump home-assistant/builder from 2024.08.2 to 2025.11.0
- Bump actions/checkout from 5 to 6
- Bump frenck/action_addon_linter from 2.18 to 2.21
- Remove arch support for armhf, armv7 and i386 no longer supported as of Home Assistant 2025.12
The next release will probably upgrade to the new GPSD 3.27 released in November of 2025. If you want to test this I will soon add it to the beta release.
