Bug fixes

  • Approximate seasons no longer raise NoMethodError: Date.edtf('1999-21~').humanize now returns "circa spring 1999" (#45, #62)
  • Unspecified-year dates before year 1000 and BC dates now render correctly (#47, #64):
    • 00XX: "00XX" (was "00XX00XX00XX00XX")
    • 01XX: "01XX" (was "001XX")
    • -01XX: "-01XX" (was "-0100")
  • German BC centuries now include "v. Chr." (#49, #63)

Packaging

  • The README is now included in the gem (#51, #65)
  • Removed the unused RDoc rake task, which broke every rake task on Ruby 4.0 (#51, #65)
  • Added source code and changelog links to the gem metadata (#69)
  • Allow roman 0.3 (#69)

Documentation

Known issue

  • On Ruby 4.0, apps whose bundle doesn't already include racc get cannot load such file -- racc/parser.rb; add gem 'racc' to your Gemfile (upstream: inukshuk/edtf-ruby#50).
