Documents that keep their markdown and blocks in step, so a mode switch converts nothing and untouched blocks keep their bytes. One Links trait for everything an app does with links. Mermaid diagrams that zoom one layout and open fitted to their box. Status bars, a menu note row and app-set comment washes. Terminal box and block glyphs drawn as cell geometry on a device-pixel grid.

New

• markdown::Synced holds a document as markdown and as blocks, each kept up with the other: set_doc rewrites only the blocks that changed and set_text reads again only the blocks whose text changed. text, doc, ranges, offsets and cursors read it. parse_ranges_with is parse_ranges with the app's own marks.
• markdown::Links, the app's side of every link: open, preview, card and hover, installed with AppExt::set_links::<L>(). Each takes a Link, the URL as written and the document's base, and Link::is_web tells a web page.
• AppExt::set_comment_paint installs a CommentPaint, the CommentWashes an open, active and resolved comment is painted in. default_comment is the shipped one, cut from the theme's warning colour.
• SourceText::rehighlight answers a SpanJob when the installed highlighter has changed since the text was last highlighted, and the editor's source mode runs it.
• markdown::PictureMenu, the rows of a picture's right-click menu (Open, Reveal in Finder or Show in Folder, Copy Image, Copy Image Address) and what each does, for a picture at a URL against a base. Editing::image_menu (OnImageMenu) hands a right press on a picture to the app with its block and position, so a read-only render can raise the menu the editor raises.
• mermaid::DIAGRAM_SELECTOR, the debug selector on a drawn mermaid diagram.
• editor::SourceAnchor, an anchor as Document::set_source_anchors takes it. Anchor::actionable marks an anchor a press on does something for, and the pointer is a hand over one.
• menu::Item::Note, a line of plain text in a menu that is never lit or chosen, painted by popover::menu_note.
• Status::status_bar, a pane's bottom row, and Status::status_path, a cell in it that truncates a path, tooltips it in full and copies it on click.
• Layout::toolbar_separator, a vertical rule between clusters of controls in a bar.
• drag::ghost_label, a row or tab in flight as a truncated pill, and drag::file_drop_wash, an overlay that paints Theme::drop_target while files are dragged over its parent.
• Theme::sidebar_bg, a sidebar's fill with glass on or off, and Theme::row_text, a list row's text by selected and archived.
• Typeset::text_style_at sets a TextStyle at a zoom: size, leading and weight together.
• color::legible_on picks whichever of two colours reads better on a plate.
• Tooltip::card paints a tooltip's card for a hover drawn inside another view.
• ui::input::caret::paint_covered paints the glyphs a solid block caret covers over it, and CaretPaint::cover is their colour.

Changed

• AppExt::set_link_handler, set_link_preview, set_link_card and set_link_hover and their LinkHandler, LinkPreview, LinkCard and LinkHover types are gone: a Links impl installed with set_links does all four.
• A link with no hover card from the app shows a bookmark of the page on hover when it is a web link, and nothing otherwise.
• Document and Editor::source write back only the blocks edited since the document was read; every other byte is the one it was read as. Switching between blocks and source converts nothing.
• Document::set_source_anchors takes SourceAnchors instead of (AnchorId, Range<usize>, Annotation) tuples.
• canvas_core::diagram takes a zoom, and canvas::text_style is gone for Typeset::text_style_at.
• A mermaid diagram's zoom scales one layout instead of laying it out again, and a diagram larger than its box opens zoomed out to fit it, past Zoom::min where it must.
• Strip::cycle answers whether the front tab moved.
• menu::card takes the popup's closing instant after the cursor, and popover::anchored_submenu takes it last.
• Table cells clip to their column, and text in them stays on one line and ends in ….
• A link chip shows the favicon and the title, without the site's name before it.
• A single-line field out of focus shows its start and hides its selection, keeping both for when focus comes back.

Fixed

• A submenu open when its menu closes leaves with the menu, instead of disappearing and playing its entrance again.
• A menu opened inside a modal or a sheet paints over it rather than under it.
• A custom mark's background paints under the selection, instead of over it.
• A shift-press on a link stays with the link, instead of extending the editor's selection.
• A solid block caret paints the glyph it covers over itself, instead of recolouring the line's runs and shifting the glyphs around it.
• The terminal grid snaps to device pixels, and box-drawing and block glyphs, half-lines, corners and tees included, are painted as cell geometry, so they join across cells.
• DEC private mode 12 no longer overrides the cursor blink DECSCUSR sets in the terminal.
