  • MongoDB read-model sinks never clear, drop or rename the collection that is serving queries, or any collection other than the one they own in the current replay or promotion phase. A promotion re-checks the replay collection's identity before renaming it into place. A refused operation fails loudly instead of touching the wrong collection. (part of #5158)
