Changes

First tagged release of provcheck — the free, open-source, offline
C2PA Content Credentials verifier.

What's in this release

  • CLI: single-binary verifier with human + JSON output modes.
  • Trust-store policy: --trust-store <PATH> + --require-trusted
    to gate verification on a PEM trust bundle.
  • Library (provcheck-core): embed the same verifier in your own
    Rust tools. Both crates are on crates.io.

Install

  • cargo install provcheck-cli (any platform with Rust ≥ 1.85)
  • or download a binary below (Windows x86_64, Linux x86_64, macOS Apple Silicon)
  • Intel-Mac binary deferred — use cargo or Rosetta for now.

Supported formats

Whatever the upstream c2pa crate supports: WAV, MP3, JPEG, PNG, HEIC,
AVIF, WebP, MP4, MOV.

Platform binaries are attached below with SHA-256 checksums.
