v0.6.6
The first public release. Since 0.6.0:
- The config file is yours alone:
~/.config/superfar/superfar.iniis written once with the default keys and never again. The session, the Ctrl+G history, window and splitter sizes and dragged column widths live in~/.local/state/superfar/state.ini; the first start moves them there. - A folder that cannot be listed no longer strands the pane: it falls back to the nearest folder that exists, a file opens its folder with the cursor on it.
- The quick filter matches abbreviations at word starts only (
bdanddowmatch bandcamp-download,pldoes not). - Every column edge drags; Name takes what is left.
- Shift+Down marks and moves down like Insert, Shift+Up marks and moves up. A key line still at an older default upgrades itself.
- F9 shows the menu bar; the function bar names the held modifier; the current tab is bold.
- F4 finds an editor:
$VISUAL,$EDITOR, else nvim, vim, nano or vi, and says so when none exists. - Enter in the inline rename no longer opens the file as well.
- F8 in the tree ejects removable media and works anywhere inside the mount.
- Double-click the path bar to edit it; middle-click closes a tab; double-click the empty strip opens one at home.
- The first start of a version shows what it is; F1 opens with the same header.
- The desktop entry names the binary by its installed path, so launchers find a
~/.localinstall. - Quitting during a folder walk no longer crashes on the way out.
- CI runs twenty scripted offscreen sessions after the unit tests; the release was checked under ASan and UBSan.
Install: sudo pacman -U superfar-0.6.6-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst, or unpack the tarball and run its install.sh.
