annotate my rails engine models

What if I need to write down the models of a rails engine? I use to annotate the application that makes use of a rails engine.

@mhenrixon Assuming you are on your rails app directory and your engine is located at ../your-engine-name run:

annotate --model-dir ../your-engine-name/app/models

@esdras I have already tried that and another gazillion ways and it isn't working. My branch on the other hand works right in the engine directory. https://github.com/mhenrixon/annotate_models

At least you found an alternative way to do it.

@esdras Nice workaround. Notice that you should migrate first within your rails app before you annotate the engine's models.

Another workaround I found is... if using Rspec, create a dummy app with rake test_app then, from spec/dummy run $ annotate --model-dir ../../app/models/

(Note that test_app must be run each time you add a new migration)
