REDCap Automated Billing is an automated, data-driven service billing system for a REDCap system. The University of Florida’s CTS-IT designed and wrote this system to charge a modest annual fee for each project and bill for customer support work logged in a REDCap-based service request system. This generates revenue, reduces data privacy risks by incentivizing the deletion of abandoned projects, and improves the quality of research productivity metrics.

Release 1.44.2 - 1.52.3 make these changes:

  • Remove fix_* functions
  • Move test data out of package space and remove tests of schema files.
  • Remove testing helpers used only by the removed tests.
  • Update update_invoice_line_items_with_invoicing_details.R
  • Update transform_invoice_line_items_for_ctsit() to test the input file from the CSBT.
  • Update update_invoice_line_items_with_invoicing_details.R to accept multiple date forms for date_of_pmt.
  • Add support for the IRB number in invoice line items
  • Replaces direct call to S3 method from bit64
  • Relabel 'CTSIT ID' to 'Other System Billing ID' in csbt_column_names.R
  • Update create_and_send_new_invoice_line_items.R to send service request fiscal details.
  • Add new pro bono section and related figures to revenue_status_and_projections.qmd
  • Add unsequester_erroneously_sequestered_projects.R and run it regularly
  • Update revenue_status_and_projections.qmd
    • Add contractual work concept.
    • Refocus report on three distinct services: : Annual Project Billing, Support Billing, and Contractual work
    • Remove income estimates.
    • Let plot y-axis float.
  • Update WORKDIR in docker env
  • Add REDCapServiceRequest.xml
  • Update get_service_request_lines() and get_service_request_line_items() for a simplified project design
