Fixes and compatibility

  • Prevent corruption from concurrent null-distribution cache writes; replace diskcache with atomic file-per-key storage (#128, #130).
  • Support Python 3.13 and 3.14 while retaining Python 3.9 support (#144).
  • Support pandas 3 string columns and pandas-backed multilabel arrays while preserving pandas 2 behavior. DuckDB 1.4.4 or newer is now required (#146).
  • Correct the package license-file reference in distribution metadata (#148).

Legacy API removal

  • Remove the legacy copairs.plot API, its documentation, and the plot extra/dependency group, including Plotly (#129, #147). Code importing copairs.plot must migrate to application-owned plotting. The copairs.replicating API and Matplotlib-based examples remain available.

Developer tooling and documentation

  • Use Nix-pinned Ruff checks consistently in CI and local development, with matching portable Prek/pre-commit hooks and explicit non-Nix setup instructions (#121, #132).
  • Update the README and contributor guidance (#125, #133).
