Intro Editor
The Intro Editor
allows you to create introductions to the specific chapter. Note that this tool is intentionally very flexible, and as such, it does not check the legality of position or moves. This flexibility enables you, for example, to create a Chapter Intro outlining ideas and moves for one side only. Below is an example of a sophisticated Chapter Intro:

The Chapter Intro allows:
Start typing on your keyboard and the text will appear in the chapter Intro
(green below):

Place a cursor where you want the diagram to be inserted (green below) and using right-click context menu run Insert Diagram
function (red below):

In the Position Setup
dialog box:
- select a piece and drag it to the square it is to be placed on (red below). If the required position is in the opening stage, it maybe faster to use the
Starting Position
button (blue below) and play the few moves to get the desired position. Note that the dialog box is similar to the one used in exercise creation, however there is no option to specify possible castling or en passant. This would be redundant here as no check on the legality of the move is being done. - use the toggle button to select which side is to move (green below)
- press OK (purple below)

System inserts the diagram (red below) and displays the position on the main board (green below):

Place the cursor where you want the move to be inserted (green below) and then make the move on the main board (red below). Ensure that the correct main board is displayed. Typically, system displays the chess starting position or the last position set in the Chapter Intro. If this is not what you need, you can manipulate the main board by making required moves. This will insert those moves into the Chapter Intro, which you then can delete while having the desired main board position:

The system inserts the move (red below). By default, the system also adds the move number, but this can be changed by double clicking on the move (red below) and overwriting or deleting the relevant part in the Edit Move
dialog box (green below):

System deletes the move number (red below):
