v1.0.8
hellwal 1.0.8
Hii yall! Quick TLDR; for those who want quick summary:
- inline color operations,
- wallpaper-derived background,
- selective image-to-theme color overrides,
- first-run directory creation,
- fix: blocking terminal updates,
- fix: symlinked templates
New features
Color operations and filters in templates
Chain operations directly inside a placeholder in template without changing the base palette:
%% color1.saturate(0.2).lighten(0.1).hex %%
%% background.sepia(0.5).contrast(1.2).rgb alpha=0.8 %%
There are 13 operations: saturate, desaturate, lighten, darken, saturation,
lightness, rotate, complement, grayscale, invert, sepia, contrast, and
brightness. Chains run left to right and support the existing color aliases,
output formats, and alpha option.
Thanks @SherLock707 for really creative suggestion in #17.
Optional dominant-color background
hellwal -i wallpaper.jpg --dominant-backgroundBackground color from the wallpaper's most common color group.
Thanks @SakibShahariar for #35.
Replace selected theme colors with image colors
hellwal -i wallpaper.jpg -t gruvbox.hellwal --override-colors color1,color2,backgroundCopy selected image-palette slots into a theme using color0–color15 or the
existing aliases. Without adjustment flags, unselected theme colors stay unchanged.
Explicit modes, inversion, offsets, grayscale, static colors, and contrast checks
apply to the whole merged palette afterward. Named themes and random images are
supported; the source theme is never rewritten.
