LinuxHound 0.3.1

Choose a tag to compare

@daniyyell-dev daniyyell-dev released this 11 Oct 13:18

LinuxHound is now packaged for installation from PyPI, with the offline graph viewer and bundled Graph Neural Network (GNN) demo model.

python -m pip install linuxhound
linuxhound demo --open

For neural review ordering, install linuxhound[gnn] and run linuxhound demo --gnn --open. Live collection remains Linux only; the bundled model remains an uncalibrated synthetic demonstration.

This release adds package documentation links, README image links that work on PyPI, and GitHub trusted publishing restricted to release tags. Validation: 104 unit tests, JavaScript graph checks, strict distribution metadata checks and an isolated wheel-install demo.

LinuxHound v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@daniyyell-dev daniyyell-dev released this 11 Oct 12:41

LinuxHound 0.3.0 is the first public release. It collects Linux permission metadata and opens an offline graph for investigating how accounts, files, services and containers connect to privileged resources. Conditional paths retain their evidence and prerequisites, and snapshot comparisons help review changes after hardening.

This release includes the collector and CLI, interactive graph viewer, Docker build, OpenGraph export, optional GTFOBins metadata matching, and an optional Graph Neural Network (GNN) demo model.

Downloads

  • LinuxHound-0.3.0-github.zip: complete source, tests, Dockerfile, documentation, branding and demo model.
  • linuxhound-0.3.0-py3-none-any.whl: installable Python package with the offline viewer and demo model.
  • linuxhound-0.3.0.tar.gz: Python source distribution.
  • SHA256SUMS: checksums for the three downloads above.

Install

Use Python 3.9 or newer. After downloading the wheel:

python3 -m venv .venv
. .venv/bin/activate
python -m pip install ./linuxhound-0.3.0-py3-none-any.whl
linuxhound demo --open

For optional GNN support:

python -m pip install './linuxhound-0.3.0-py3-none-any.whl[gnn]'
linuxhound demo --gnn --open

For a live Linux collection:

linuxhound scan --root /etc --root /opt --serve --open

Live collection supports Linux only. The GNN model is an uncalibrated synthetic demonstration; scores order reviews and do not establish vulnerabilities or safety. Missing coverage is reported and does not establish a clean host.

See the README and user guide for Docker installation, collection scope, model details and limitations.
