What's new in v1.2

Widescreen

• Stage starts and ends no longer show walls or gaps past the edge of the level — the ground now carries on to the edge of the screen.
• The level 5 and level 12 boss fights automatically play in 4:3 (those arenas were never drawn wider); widescreen comes back as soon as you leave.
• Widescreen is no longer marked experimental.

Display

• Integer scale option — OFF / AUTO / 1×, 2×, 3×… Whole-number scaling keeps every pixel the same size. AUTO picks the biggest size that fits; a fixed size is always used (and sizes the window to match when windowed).
• Display option — choose which monitor the game runs on (works in fullscreen too).
• Sharper picture on high-DPI / scaled Windows displays (e.g. 125% or 150%), which were previously being stretched and blurred.
• The window now opens at a pixel-perfect size for your monitor.

Menu

• New Credits page.
• The version number is shown in the menu.

All display settings, including integer scale and the chosen monitor, are remembered between launches.

Requires a good dump of the US (U) ROM — not included.

• Double Jump cheat — press jump again in mid-air (Cheats menu).
• Run Button — hold RB (gamepad) or Left-Shift (keyboard) to instantly reach top run speed (Cheats menu).
• Colour mode — Vivid / Natural / Soft, to tame oversaturation on modern screens.

Fixes

• Fixed a crash when loading a save state from a previous session.
• Fixed a crash when choosing Reset from the menu while in widescreen.
• Fixed save states made on the world map re-entering the level on resume.
• Fixed the pause menu's Resume re-entering the level when on the world map.

v1.0 - Buster's Hidden Treasure (PC)

First release of the PC runtime.

How to use: download the zip below, extract it, and run Buster's Hidden Treasure.exe. Keep SDL2.dll in the same folder.

You need your own ROM: a good dump of the US (USA) version. Other regions (E / J), bad dumps, and hacks are not supported and are rejected on load. The ROM is not included.

Features: widescreen mode, video filters, save states, fullscreen, and an in-game menu (cheats, level select, sound test). See readme.txt inside the zip for full controls.
