Valhalla Batch Text v1.5.4 — Saved Input Order Fix
Valhalla Batch Text v1.5.4 — Saved Input Order Fix
Released: 28 October 2026
Author: Werner de Jong
License: MIT
The v1.5.4 candidate was tested successfully in a local ComfyUI workflow and approved for stable publication on 28 October 2026.
Fixed
- Resolves issue #1: the selected input-port order no longer resets after restarting ComfyUI or reopening a saved workflow.
- Restores the saved order of
TEXT_LISTand dynamically connectedTEXT:nports, preserving the corresponding cables, link identities and source nodes. - Persists the visual order in workflow metadata alongside the existing hidden
input_ordervalue used by the Python backend. - Preserves dynamic text inputs, delimiters, custom separators, native list support, existing workflows, and the original
ValhallaBatchTextnode class.
Validation
- Confirmed working in the owner's local ComfyUI environment on 28 October 2026.
- Seven Python backend tests and the frontend persistence regression passed in the release candidate.
- The stable implementation matches the approved v1.5.4 RC functionality; only user-facing RC version labels have been removed.
Install / update
Download Valhalla_BatchText_v1.5.4.zip, stop ComfyUI and replace the existing Valhalla_BatchText folder inside custom_nodes. Restart ComfyUI and hard-refresh the browser. Save your existing workflow once using v1.5.4 to store the new order metadata.

Valhalla Batch Text v1.5.3 — Cable Follow Fix
Valhalla Batch Text v1.5.3 — Cable Follow Fix
Released: 27 October 2026
Author: Werner de Jong
License: MIT
The owner validated the v1.5.3 release candidate in a working ComfyUI environment and approved publication.
Fixes
- Move any connected
TEXT:ninput orTEXT_LISTwith its existing source cable when clicking the per-row outlined up/down buttons. - Support modern ComfyUI link stores which reject moving a link into an occupied target slot: use the existing unconnected spare input temporarily, without rebuilding links.
- Keep socket names, existing link IDs, reroutes and source nodes intact; refresh saved
input_orderfor actual Python concatenation. - Preserve delimiter behavior, backwards compatibility, MIT licensing and all other Batch Text features.
Verified
- 23 Python unit tests passed.
- JavaScript simulated frontend tests passed, including modern link-store occupancy and cable attachment checks.
- Owner confirmed live ComfyUI cable-follow behavior and processing order on 27 October 2026.
Update
Stop ComfyUI. Back up your workflow and old Valhalla_BatchText custom-node folder. Copy this folder over the old folder, restart ComfyUI, and hard-refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R. Node class and socket names remain unchanged.
