6.0.0

PHP 8.5 is now required. This major release separates the framework-independent
Doctrine ORM toolkit from its optional CodeIgniter 4 adapter.

  • Standalone configuration, PSR-6 cache pools, PSR-3 logging, named managers and console.
  • Separate daycry/doctrine-codeigniter4 package for framework services, configuration,
    helpers, cache backends, toolbar and Spark commands.
  • Native lazy objects, efficient DataTables pagination and independent count queries.
  • Fixes for query parameters, reopened managers, database-group isolation and cache TTLs.
  • Database/mapping/cache diagnostics and metadata warmup.

Upgrade

There are breaking constructor, namespace and pagination API changes, with no
compatibility aliases. CI4 applications must install the adapter and migrate to
Daycry\Doctrine\CodeIgniter4 imports.

Install the adapter with composer require daycry/doctrine-codeigniter4:^6.0.
The adapter is distributed at https://github.com/daycry/doctrine-codeigniter4.

The library performs no automatic schema migration during installation.
